Son Parc is only 25 minutes drive from the airport, located in the North East of the island. In the summer months the resort offers a handful of restaurants & bars to suit most tastes, from bars, beach clubs and pizzerias to larger restaurants serving excellent cuisine. A couple of the bars hold evening entertainment and show live football on big screen TV's.
It's a quiet, family resort with the emphasis around enjoying a good meal & a few drinks and then strolling back to the villa for a night cap.
Son Parc has a couple of seasonal supermarkets which are small, but have most of the essentials. For a bigger shop, you will find the familiar names such as Lidl, Mercadona and Eroski in the nearby towns of Es Mercadal or Mahon, which are just a short drive away.
GETTING AROUNDHiring a car is most peoples preferred option, as it gives the freedom to explore this beautiful island. The roads are fairly quiet and well maintained and nothing is too far away! Or, there is a very reliable bus service which will enable you to travel around the island at a very reasonable cost, stopping at the local towns & numerous beach resorts. Or you could just call for a taxi, again being very reliable and inexpensive.
The cost from the airport to the resort is around €45 one way for 4 people. Or, you can get a shared
shuttle bus or private mini bus for larger parties, from several companies, such as:
